AIET
Rebranding – The AIET foundation is responsible for R+D+I dissemination in renewable energies, energy efficiency and environment awareness.
The Agencia Insular de Energía de Tenerife (Tenerife Energy Agency) was constituted on the 26th of July 2005, participating the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife as a founding partner. It was established as a foundation to promote energy saving and efficiency on the island of Tenerife.
Its activities include disseminating, promoting and implementing actions related to renewable energy and energy efficiency: research and development of new energy technologies, establishing training plans on energy subjects or providing advice to improve energy efficiency.
Due to its merger with ITER on the 20th of November 2013, its new international projection and the need to clearly represent the foundation’s values and main mission, a brand identity redesign was needed.
The new brand identity of the foundation is based on a bulb-shaped prism. The bulb icon is presented along with a pattern that is present throughout all stationery and advertising material. It consists of light rays with triangle and prism patterns, based on the theory of light refraction and composition (light rays are decomposed when a beam of white light passes through a prism).
